A-TEAM Saturday Morning Run Club

After four years running comprehensive training programs and fundraising campaigns, in which we raised over $200,000 for our partner programs in youth mental health, the A-TEAM will be moving to a new Saturday Run Club format in 2014 with no fundraising requirement.

WHAT? A-TEAM Saturday Morning Run Club

WHEN? Saturdays 8:00am from Sat, May 31 to Sat, Oct 12, 2014 (incl holiday long weekends).  RAIN OR SHINE.

WHERE? Runs start and finish at New Balance Toronto (1510 Yonge St just north of St Clair).  Bag dropoff/storage at the back of the store (please do not leave valuables in bag storage).

HOW FAR?  The focus of the A-TEAM Run Club is the weekend long run - the most important weekly run for those training for an endurance event (like a half or full marathon).  Our first run on May 31 will be 5k or 10k.  Distances increase gradually over the course of the season, such that regular attendees are prepared for a half or full marathon in the fall.  Scenic routes will be planned and maps (electronic and paper) will be provided each week for those unfamiliar with the routes. 

NEW BALANCE TORONTO DISCOUNT: Run Club members who make their donation will receive 25% off all regular-price merchandise at New Balance Toronto (Yonge & St. Clair) until Dec 31, 2014.  Upon donation, Run Club members will receive a discount card, to be presented at the time of payment together with photo ID.  Note that New Balance Toronto carries not only running shoes, apparel, and accessories, but also casual and formal shoes, yoga gear, and other merchandise (

ANNUAL COST: $100 tax-deductible donation to the Anne Hoehn Memorial Foundation.  Donations can be made easily and securely using our CanadaHelps page (A-TEAM on Canada Helps) and should be made online prior to your third Saturday run with the Club.   Any fundraising beyond this donation is 100% at the option of a runner, with proceeds directed to programs in the community that embody the strong connection between physical and mental health.
